Thomas College falls short to St. Joseph College
Waterville, ME - St. Joes finishes off the win against Thomas
College 13-7.
At the end of the first half, St. Joe's led Thomas by 5 goals,
7-2. Josh Colello (Yarmouth, ME) had the two goals for Thomas both scored on
ground balls. For St. Joe's, Kody Peckham (West Gardiner, ME) scored three
goals, only one assisted by Blake Edwards (Glide, OR). Spencer Hunt
(Jeffersonville, VT) scored two goals in the half with four ground balls, and 16
shots. Edwards and Benson Pasquarello (Kennebuck, ME) each had a goal for the
Monks.
For the second half St. Joes started off strong scoring three more goals before
Thomas could get on the board. Thomas then went on a three goal scoring streak
making it look like they were coming back. However St. Joes scored two more
goals to secure their win.
Kolby Peckham (Gardiner, ME) finished with 3 goals out of his 20 shots and 4
ground balls. His brother Kody Peckham finished with 5 goals out of his 9 shots
with 6 ground balls.
Hunt for the Monks also finished with 5 goals out of 22 shots with 6 ground
balls.
Colello finished the game with 4 goals out of 9 shots and 4 ground balls.
Thomas plays again on Wednesday April 28 at UMF at 4:00pm. St. Joe's plays again
on Wednesday April 28 against Mitchell for their Senior Day at 4:00pm.
