Husson Leads NAC Golf Championship After Round One
Ben Estabrook of Husson Leads Golf Field
Boothbay, Maine -- October 13, 2007 Husson College carded a team total of 312 to
lead the two-day North Atlantic Conference Championships at the Boothbay Golf
Club in Boothbay, Maine. Castleton State College scored a 328 for second place in the Championship. The
University of Maine Farmington, Thomas, Elms, Maine Maritime Academy, and Becker
finished 3rd-7th respectively
Ben Estabrook lead teammates Adam Duplisea and Chris Coffin in the race for
individual medalist, with scores of 76, 77, and 78 respectively. Neil
Daigneault of Elms College also scored 78.

Costain Earns NAC Rookie of the Week
WATERVILLE, October 9-Thomas College's freshman Ben Costain (Benton, ME) earned
the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week. Costain earned the honor by shooting a pair of 75's at the Husson Invitational.
Costain also finished 5th in the field of 65 in pulling Thomas to 6th
in team place.
Thomas will next play in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament on October 13
and 14, at Boothbay Golf Course.

Profenno and Slattery Lead
USM to First Place Finish.
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Junior Brent Profenno (Standish, Maine/Bonny Eagle)
and freshman Andrew Slattery (West Minot, Maine/Poland Regional) combined to
shoot a three-under-par 67 to lead the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a
first-place finish at the 2007 Southern Maine Cup played at Sable Oaks Golf
Course in South Portland Friday afternoon.
The Southern Maine Cup feature pairs of golfers playing six holes of best ball,
followed by six holes of scramble format and finally six holes of alternate shot
golf.
Southern Maine won the event with a total of 206 led by Profenno and Slattery's
low round of the tournament. Juniors Ben Loss (Wilmette, Ill./Westminster) and
Dave Murphy (Melrose, Mass./Melrose) carded a one-under-par 69 while seniors
Greg Mitchell (Durham, Maine/Brunswick) and Justin Marchant (Westbrook,
Maine/Westbrook) finished with par 70.
St. Joseph's College placed second with 222 and was followed by UMaine
Farmington and the University of New England in a two-way tie for third place
with 224. Thomas College rounded out the scoring with a 226.

Husson Wins USM Fall Classic
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - Junior Adam Duplisea (Hermon, Maine/Hermon)
carded a two-over-par 73 to lead the Husson College Eagles to a first place
finish at the 2007 University of Southern Maine Fall Classic held Monday at
Sable Oaks Golf Club in South Portland, Maine.
Duplisea shot a three-over par 39 on the front nine of the course before
turning in a solid par performance on the back nine to lead the Eagles to a
team-total of 306. Castleton State placed second with 317 strokes, led by a
second place finish with a solid 74 from senior Bryan Smith (St. Albans,
Vt./Bellows Free Academy). Endicott College placed third with 322 besting
fourth-place St. Joseph's College by a single stroke (323). UMaine Farmington
placed fifth with 328 followed by Southern Maine's Gold team with 336. Thomas
College finished seventh with 341 strokes, while the University of New England
(343) and Southern Maine's Blue team (344) placed eighth and ninth respectively.
USM freshman Andrew Slattery (West Minot, Maine/Poland Regional)
paced the Huskies as the team's top finisher tying for 12th place with an 81.
Junior Matt Reid (Portland, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and freshman Mike
Walp (Portland, Maine/Deering) tied for 16th place with an 82.

Husson Wins John Queenan
Golf Tournament
CASCO, MAINE - Six schools participated in the annual John Queenan Memorial Golf
Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph's College at Point Sebago. Husson won the
event with a team score of 296. JR Brent Profenno (Standish, ME) of USM was the medalist with a 71.
The Monks finished in second with a team score of 310 and were led by SR Chris
Deroche (Portland, ME) with a 73. SR Francois Renaud (E. Middlebury, VT) had a
75 and SO Matt Cotreau (Lunenberg, MA) had a 79. Rounding out the SJC scoring
was JR Andy LeConte (York, ME) with an 83.

Husson takes UMF Invitational
BELGRADE LAKES
-- Husson College totaled a 321 to win the University of
Maine at Farmington Invitational at Belgrade Lakes Golf
Club today.
Husson was followed by Colby (331), the host Beavers
(334), St. Joseph's (336), University of Southern Maine
(347), Thomas (353), University of New England (358) and
Maine Maritime Academy (394).
UMF's Brandon Poulin (Gorham, ME) was the top
medalist with a 79. After matching cards, Poulin won the
honors with a birdie on the 18th hole. Teammate Kyle
Feltis (Bristol, ME) and Husson's Adam Duplisea and
Ben Estabrook also carded 79s.
