Terriers Lose Match Against Unity
WATERVILLE, ME -- September 28, 2008
The Thomas College Women's
Volleyball team hosted the Unity College, at Larry
Mahaney Gymnasium in Waterville, ME on Sunday
morning. Unity was able to come away with the 3-0
victory in contest.
Unity scored the victory in the
first game of the match with a final score of 25-23.
The second game was 25-16 in favor of Unity as well.
Game three also resulted in a Unity victory as they
were able to beat the Terriers 25-21. Unity won the
match as they swept the best of 5 series 3-0.
For Thomas, Sarah Marckoon and
Heather Holmes each led the Terriers with 5 kills in
the match and sophomore captain Stephanie Swider led
the team with 11 total attempts. The Terrier's
record now stands at 2-9 overall. Their next game
will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 as they will
host conference rival UMF.
