Terriers Defeated in Second Match Against Fort Kent

WATERVILLE, ME -- September 28, 2008

The Thomas College women's volleyball team squared off against the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Sunday afternoon. For the Terriers it was their second match of the day at Larry Mahaney Gym in Waterville, ME. Fort Kent was able to come away with a 3-0 victory in the match.

The first game resulted in a Fort Kent victory by the final score of 25-12. They also won the second game of the match 25-17 and the third game 25-13. The loss gives the Terriers a 2-9 overall record on the season.

Thomas freshman Sarah Marckoon led the team with 5 kills in the match and also 8 passes. Stephanie Swider led the team with 2 digs and 6 set assists in the match. The Terrier's next game will be on October 1st as they will square off against conference rival University of Maine at Farmington.
