Thomas Earns First Win of Season

WATERVILLE, ME-The Thomas College Terriers took a strong first half to earn a 4-0 shut out over hosts Southern Maine Community College in women’s soccer. The win is the first on the season and brings the Terriers to 1-2-1 on the year.  Freshman, Jana Espling (Machias, ME) opened the scoring for the Terriers early in the first half with classmates Anika Powers (Stonington, ME) and Eleonor Gonzalez following suit.  Senior Julia Nyitray (Farmingdale, ME) finished off the half and the scoring for the game while classmate Jess Nasetta earned the shutout for the Terriers.  Thomas will host  the University of Maine Machias on Sunday September 13, 2009 with kick off scheduled for 1:00pm.
