Thomas College has announced the hiring
of its new Women's Soccer coach for the
2008 Fall Campaign, Ed Thomas. Ed
brings with him 29 years of soccer
experience; as a player, coach and
official. For the past 7 years, Ed has
served as the head coach at both Morse
and Freeport High School where his
responsibility was for the men's and
women's programs respectively.
Coach Thomas has been the Director of
Coaching for the Bath (ME) Clippers
Soccer Club and the Pacific Youth Soccer
League, San Diego, CA. Ed has coached
Premier Club Soccer at the U12 thru U18
levels; his U15 team won the World Cup,
Nashua, NH Tournament in 00'. In 03',
his Costal Soccer Premier U16 team won
the State (ME) Championship advancing to
the Region I Championship Tournament.
As a player, Ed has solid experience both in the U.S.
and abroad. He has also earned
certification as a Class 1 Official with
the NHSF and State 5 Official with the
FIFA.
With a strong core of returning veterans
and some talented incoming players, the
excitement is building for the Terriers
to make a run for the playoffs this
Fall.
