SKILLS

I have 19 years experience in Accounting and Benefits Administration. Hands-on experience in Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Capital Projects and Bank Reconciliation.  Strong understanding of payroll (including labor contracts compliance), health and dental insurance, deferred compensation, defined benefits, simple retirement plans, short and long-term disability administration and COBRA benefits. Recently have used an AS/400 based system, a Lawson HRIS/Payroll/Benefits system with the BSI Tax software.  Comfortable with the SAP general ledger, accounts receivable, invoicing, accounts payable, construction in progress and the fixed assets systems.   I was directly involved in the decision making of all systems that were upgraded and was assigned to the implementation group during 1997-2000 to ensure 2000 compliance for all systems used in the benefit and accounting areas.  All systems were installed on time and on budget.  I was also responsible for ensuring users were properly trained to use the software.

I currently use Microsoft Office and Peachtree Accounting for Small Business.  I am also comfortable with Excel and Lotus 1-2-3.
