* Job Hunting Tips – When you put a stamp on an envelope that contains your resume and cover letter you put your career in the hands of the Postal Service.  It’s because of this that some prefer email – but that isn’t always foolproof.  Check out this article from the Wall Street Journal.  It discusses the problems you face when a recruiter’s email system thinks your resume is spam.  Whether you email or snail mail, it’s a good idea to check in with your recruiter a week after you’ve sent your stuff just to make sure it got there.

* New Job Openings – Highlights this week include the Management Trainee Program at CarQuest, a part time HR position at Sappi Fine Paper in Skowhegan and an IT Internship at Maine General in Augusta.
