* MESDA (the statewide trade association for Maine's software and information technology industry) is running a Technology Job Fair on November 14, 2002. They advertise this fair to prospective employers as follows,
"The Maine Technology base is vast and talented – however – it is not well promoted or known by our local businesses. Every company has technology needs – whether you are a technology company or one that uses technology to grow or manage your business. The MESDA Technology Job Fair is a fantastic venue to search for technical talent." The fair will run from 1:00 - 7:00 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Portland.

* - Fall 2002 Salary Survey Information!
The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has just released their fall salary survey, and Thomas students should be excited! Economics/Finance, Business Administration/Management and Accounting majors were listed as being in the top five for receiving the most numbers of job offers. The average starting salaries are good as well: Economics/Finance )which includes banking) $39,961; Business Administration/Management - $36,378; and Accounting - $39,494.
