* FYI - According to Manpower's quarterly survey of employers, the number of job openings won't increase through year's end because companies will remain cautious about the economy.

Although the hiring picture seems dim among large employers, students may be interested to know that approximately 54% of U.S. workplaces have fewer than five employees. The U.S. Census Bureau released a study indicating that the average workplace has 16.1 workers per establishment (one company may have several establishments).

Help yourself and your friends prepare for the big bad world beyond Thomas! Enter our fun monthly contests and discover things like how to introduce yourself in 15 words or less, resume faux pas to avoid, the top ten things NOT to do/say at an interview, etc. Win fun prizes!

Review the contest details and the rules. Send us your entry on or before the 15^th of the month, then visit the Career Services Office to vote for your favorite entries. Winners will be revealed in the weekly email updates and on the Career Services bulletin board.
