Career Services Update - week of October 14, 2002!

 

*  FREE PIZZA!  Our Contest of the Month is up and running and the entries are hilarious!  Because Monday was a holiday, we are extending the last day to enter until Friday, October 18.  Do you have a good tip on what NOT to say or do at a job interview?  Just stop in or e-mail your tip to us by Friday.  The best tip could be worth two large Papa John's pizzas!

 

*  MBNA Career Day - Friday, October 25th, MBNA Belfast will open their doors to all students who wish to tour their facility.  If you would like to participate, please RSVP to Kandi Brown (1-800-386-6262 x 87857) or send her an e-mail to let her know you'll be coming.  If transportation is a problem, please contact the Career Services office at 859-1106.  "People are the foundation of success at MBNA...Come see how you can be part of a winning team!"

 

*  Customs Inspector - A Customs Inspector inspects ships, aircraft, baggage, people, vehicles, and vessels for contraband to prevent illegal drugs and imported merchandise from being smuggled into or out of the United States.  They also assess and collect fees and taxes.  Sound interesting?  Vacancy announcements can be found here. 

 

*  Career Fair - Coming Soon!  Make sure you have plenty of resumes on hand to distribute at our Fall Career Fair, Wednesday, October 23rd.  We have confirmations from these 23 companies that plan to attend! 

 

*  INTERNSHIPS - Now is the time to arrange a spring or summer internship.  Our internship page has valuable information on acquiring the experience you may need to get a great job when you graduate.  Click here to learn more or stop into the Career Services office! 

 

*  Brown Bag Lunch Series - This series of lunches will be an informal way for us to open up discussion on topics of interest to you!  This idea comes to us from Pat Karush and we are very enthusiastic to begin!  Do you have a career topic that you would like to learn more about?  If so, you're probably not alone!  Send us any questions or topics that you would like to learn more about.  Thank you for sharing this great idea with us, Pat!
