Career Services Update

* TIME TO VOTE! We've had a great response to our first contest, "What not to say in an interview",...28 entries!! Now the time has come to decide which 'tip' is the best (or the worst?)! Come in to the office, hit the candy, and vote for your favorite entry! Winners of the Papa John's pizzas will be announced in the November 4th weekly update.

* Career Fair - This Wednesday, Thomas College will be hosting our Annual Career Fair in the administration building from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Students - remember to dress business casual and bring resumes to distribute! Instructors - please remind your students to attend! We have compiled a great list of tips to make the most of this opportunity. We will also have maps with the locations of all the displays of the participating companies available as you enter the administration building.

* Graduate and Professional School Fair - On November 4th and 5th, 2002, Bates, Bowdoin and Colby colleges will host their eighth annual Graduate and Professional School Fair. Companies and institutions, varying in size, program specialty and geographic location are expected to have representatives available to answer questions, distribute literature and provide useful information to students. Related arts and sciences, law, public policy, business, international affairs, medicine and social sciences will all be represented. This information fair is an excellent opportunity for students to explore graduate and professional school possibilities in a relaxed, informal setting.

* Any ideas? - The maintenance department has put up a new suggestion box for our office. We are open to any suggestions!!
