2002!
*
Career One
Stop - This is a publicly-funded resource for
jobseekers and businesses.
Find jobs--from entry level to technical to
professional to CEO. Locate public workforce services in your area.
Explore alternative career paths,
compare salary data for different occupations, learn which careers
are hot, get resume writing tips and
job interview strategies, and much more!
*Virtual Internships - We have listed our first
virtual internship on our
job posting page.
To learn about more potential virtual internships, check the listings
here.
*
Brown Bag Lunch Series - Please join
"Mad Dog" Wallace, Betty-Jane Meader, & Karen as they discuss
Marketing Yourself. This discussion will take place in the Board
Room on December 4, from 12:15 - 1:15. If you were unable to attend
the first discussion on Applying to Grad School, you can click
here
to find the notes from the discussion.
* SENIORS - We would like
to encourage you to let us put your name on our job board! Remember the
'college board' from your high school days? Everyone who was headed to
college had their name and their school listed for all to see? Our job
board is designed to share your good news with the
Thomas College community! Let us know when you have accepted a
position that begins after graduation so we can put your name up!
* Career Fairs - Remember in our
11/04/2002
update, we told you the top places employers find new hires? Well,
Career Fairs came in number 5 on that list. We've put together a list of
all the
upcoming fairs that are open to you as Thomas students. If there is
enough interest in a particular fair, the Career Services office will be
happy to arrange transportation.
* Last chance! Get
your entries into our office for our November contest! Details
here!
* Out of state internships - You asked and we
listened!
Internweb.com is a great on-line tool to locate internships beyond the
state of Maine boundaries!
* One last note...
Do you believe in life after death?" the
boss asked one of his employees.
"Yes, Sir." the new recruit replied.
"Well, then, that makes everything just fine," the boss went on. "After you
left early yesterday to go to your grandmother's funeral, she stopped in to
see you."
Have a great week!
