Update - week of December 5, 2005!
* Congratulations – Heather Onorato has
accepted a full time position with Dawson,
Smith, Purvis & Bassett. Heather
will work part-time during tax season and move to full time after graduation.
Steph
Pelotte has accepted a position at Tax
Pro in Skowhegan for this tax season.
If it works out Steph will stay on after graduation.
If
you want to share an employment success story please email

* Job Hunting – If you’ve ever met with me
to discuss resumes you’ve probably heard my two minute speech on cover
letters. If you haven’t, here’s a chance
to learn more. The Wall Street Journal
has a great
article on the importance of an interesting cover letter. If the former CEO of Pizza Hut uses a concise
one page cover letter you should too.
* New Job Openings
– A couple of
great opportunities to talk about this time.
Kennebec Savings Bank is looking for an IT Support Technician
to work part-time in Augusta.
The
Central Maine Growth Council is dedicated to helping the economy in Central
Maine. The CMGC is looking for a Development Project
Assistant. This is a paid internship
slated to begin with the council’s move to Downtown Waterville the first of the
year.

Have a great week!
