Career Services
Update - week of November 28, 2005!
* Congratulations – Heather Onorato has
accepted a full time position with Dawson,
Smith, Purvis & Bassett. Heather
will work part-time during tax season and move to full time after graduation.
Steph
Pelotte has accepted a position at Tax Pro in Skowhegan for this tax
season. If it works out Steph will stay
on after graduation.
If
you want to share an employment success story please email
me.
* Job Hunting – If you’ve ever met with me
to discuss resumes you’ve probably heard my two minute speech on cover
letters. If you haven’t, here’s a chance
to learn more. The Wall Street Journal
has a great
article on the importance of an interesting cover letter. If the former CEO of Pizza Hut uses a concise
one page cover letter you should too.
* New Job Openings
– Please
latest job and internship openings.
* Housekeeping – The Career Services office
will close at 11am tomorrow. I’m going on
vacation and will be back on Monday November 21. If you have a resume emergency (or similar
job related catastrophe) please feel free to speak with student affairs at ext.
243.
Have a great couple
of weeks!
