The Thomas Internship Program
What do the Boston Celtics, Bergdorf Goodman, INTERPOL, and Walt Disney World Resorts have in common? They have all hired Thomas College students as interns. In many cases, students do such an outstanding job in their internships, they secure full-time positions following graduation.
Top Students - Outstanding Organizations
Thomas interns have worked for some of the most highly regarded organizations in the country, and have received high marks from their internship sites. Students at Thomas College go through a rigorous academic program in which four core competencies are emphasized: communications, analytical reasoning and critical thinking, leadership and service, and community and interpersonal relations. When students begin their work assignments, they are ready to hit the ground running.
"JAI Software had an excellent experience with Ryan Boutot as a Thomas College intern. His academic training in programming at Thomas provided the foundation for his contribution to our company. Ryan was a meaningful contributor to various projects to which he was assigned. His rapid improvement and ability to add real value encouraged us to hire Ryan as a junior programmer at the end of his internship."
John Joseph, CEO, JAI Software, Inc.
The Thomas College Internship Program offers juniors and seniors in four and five year programs, as well as seniors in two-year programs, an opportunity to learn while being engaged in career-related employment. Students get to apply what they learn in the classroom to a practical situation in the field.
"It was very valuable to work in a professional setting because I was able to take the accounting knowledge gained from my courses at Thomas and apply it in the real world. I was then able to take real-world knowledge gained from my internship and in turn, apply it to the rest of my classes at Thomas."
