About the library
The Library Services' mission is to support the academic and personal enrichment of students, faculty, and staff with leading-edge service, information resources, facilities, and systems.
Conveniently situated on two floors in the administration building, the library houses approximately 20,000 items, including books, magazines, DVDs, laptops, iPads, and other audiovisual equipment. The Thomas community has further access to several million titles through consortium participation, which allows us to acquire items from other libraries around the state of Maine.
The Thomas College Library supports academic research by providing access to over fifty online databases. These resources contain thousands of helpful sources, including journal abstracts, indices, full text journals, conference reports, and dissertations. Our databases include many popular names in the research community, including EBSCO, LexisNexis Academic, and Gale, as well as databases that support the unique course offerings at Thomas, including SPORTDiscus, Criminal Justice Abstracts, and the databases in Maine Infonet's MARVEL! collection.
