Recruiting Territories:

Alma mater:
Thomas College, A.S., B.S., and MSed

Best part of your job:
Working with students on a daily basis

Tips for college success:
Find your Fit!  I always encourage students to do their homework when it comes to searching for colleges.  Visit, ask questions, and talk with people about colleges that you are interested in.  This is your future- definitely invest the time to find the college that has everything you want (I hope it is Thomas).

Favorite Thomas fun fact:
Did you know that Thomas College changed its name and location, not once, but 2 times!  Search the website to see how far Thomas has come over the past century and beyond.

Favorite Waterville restaurant:
Fireside Steakhouse (One of the owner’s sister is a Thomas alum and one of my best friends) and the Last Unicorn

Most memorable college class (If you went to Thomas.): I had a lot of great classes at Thomas.  Taking undergraduate classes with Professor Cindy Lepley and Professor Tibbetts was always enjoyable and a lot of fun.  Professor LeBreck taught me so much in the grad program all the while encouraging her students and myself to think outside the box.

If I didn’t work in Admissions, I’d be:
BORED- Admissions work is very rewarding.  We are able to offer students admission and educate those interested on the benefits of a Thomas Education.

Why you decided to work at the Thomas?
It sort of fell in my lap, lucky for me!  The former Vice President for Student Affairs spoke with me about a job opportunity at Thomas.  Thankfully I was offered a position in the Financial Aid office.  After about a year, I explored an opportunity in Admissions, and 10+ years later, here I am!

Where you're most likely to be found hanging out on campus?
It all depends- during the day I would have to say the Admissions Office- however; there are a lot of places where I would like to go just to hang, like the dining center, student commons, welcome center and more.  After hours, you may see me with my 3rd / 4th girl’s grade travel team in the gym.  It’s quite a thrill for those girls to play on a college court!

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you bring?
Not too sure about items, I would have to say the 3 people I would bring would be my husband and our children- Brooke and Denny.

Favorite thing to do in Waterville:
There is a lot that I enjoy doing in Waterville.  Both of my children, Denny (4) and Brooke (8) attend Mt. Merici Academy so we like to attend events there; my husband is a teacher and asst. football coach and head hockey coach at Waterville High School.  My children and I go to many of the Waterville games.  Movies, bowling, mini golf, snowmobiling, and boating or waterskiing is just a few of the things that we like to do in the Waterville area.

Family members that attend Thomas:
My mother and grandmother!  Yes, I am a 3rd generation Thomas College student.
