Visa & Passport Information

In order to enter the United States to study, an international student will need a visa, usually an F-1 Student Visa. When applying for an F-1 visa, the applicant must submit a valid Form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility to the United States Embassy or Consulate in his or her country. In addition to these forms, the applicant will have to present a passport and evidence of financial support.

Thomas College requires the following information to prepare a Form I-20:

Name-first and last (exactly as it appears on your passport)
Address (foreign home address)
Mailing address (if different from home address)
Country of citizenship
Country of birth
Copy of passport (pages with biographical information only)

Thomas College will issue a Certificate of Eligibility Form (I-20) after an international student has been accepted into a degree program, submitted a Declaration of Financial Status, and paid the required tuition and housing deposits.

If you have any questions about the information above, please contact your Admissions Counselor.
