Career Passport Program
Earn prizes and gain skills to assist in finding a great job.

The Career Passport Program is based on the Four-Year Career Development Plan. Students participating in the program will accumulate career knowledge and job seeking skills over their time at Thomas and have a little fun along the way.
By the end of the program, students will be able to:
1. Write an error free resume that meets the standards outlined in "prescription for an effective resume" on the Career Services website
Benefit: an effective resume will enable participants to advance further in the job search process (for example, to the interview)
2. Write an effective cover letter that is error free and flows well
Benefit: A well-written cover letter will enable participants to advance further in the job search process (for example, to the interview)
3. Complete a job interview with confidence
Benefit: Completing an interview with confidence will improve a student's probability of being selected for a position.
4. Understand the concept of networking in their field - the who, where, and how of networking
Benefit: Effective networking will enable students to secure job leads and learn about informational contacts from people they meet, as well as to learn about open positions. Ideally, networking will lead to a job offer.
5. Understand and be able to implement a multi-faceted job search strategy to maximize opportunities and options after graduation
Benefit: Effective and comprehensive job search skills (knowing where, how, and what to search) will increase the chances of a student finding a great job after graduation.
