How do I broadcast a live event online?
Live Broadcast Instructions

Open Expression Encoder

Select "Live Broadcasting Project"

Add a Live Source

Under Live Sources on the left, select your Video Device and Audio Device based on your camera source

Cue the live source (makes it ready to display, you could have multiple sources connected that you switch between during broadcast)

On the Encode tab on the right, leave everything default (Windows Media, VC-1 Advanced, WMA)

On the Metadata tab on the right, enter a title, author, etc., if you desire

On the Output tab on the right, check the "Streaming" checkbox, Select "Publishing Point", enter the Location: "http://video.thomas.edu:8000/LiveEvent", click Connect, and enter your Thomas domain username and password (if prompted)

When ready to start the live broadcast, click the "Start" button in the middle Preview pane

When finished with the broadcast, click the "Stop" button
Viewing the Live Broadcast
Simply point your web browser to: http://www3.thomas.edu/live
(NOTE: You must have Windows Media Player installed [or a player capable of receiving an MMS stream].)
