Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Thomas College, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) in Waterville, ME is accepting applications for a part-time assistant men’s soccer coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in organizing and conducting regularly scheduled practices, assisting in supervising and coaching the team at all contests and practices, assisting in the recruitment and retention of students, supervision of team travel, and compliance with NCAA Division III and NAC rules and regulations. Previous college and/or high school playing or coaching experience is preferred. Valid driver's license is required. Track and Field Coach (Part-Time)

Thomas College seeks candidates for the position of Head Coach for the school’s new club track and field program. This part-time position will be responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the track and field program including coaching, scheduling, conditioning, contest preparation, practice planning, budget preparation, fundraising, purchase/care of equipment, planning/supervision of team travel and monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes.

The successful candidate must have previous coaching or playing experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience recruiting student-athletes at the NCAA Division III level. A basic familiarity with athletics in New England at the high school and/or collegiate level is preferable. Candidates must have the ability to pass motor vehicle and criminal background checks and are required to successfully complete a van/mini-bus familiarization course. Successful completion of CPR/AED certification also required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Women’s Basketball Coach (Part-Time)

Golf Coach (Part-Time)

Groundskeeper

Thomas College is accepting applications for two part-time, seasonal groundskeeper positions. This position is responsible for improvement & maintenance of all campus landscaping and green spaces.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: maintaining grounds to include mowing, trimming, fertilizing, mulching, seeding and watering areas of repair, flower bed maintenance, tree & shrub pruning, trash removal, fence repair, painting, parking area repairs, and preventative maintenance of all equipment used daily.  Expected to work 16  to 29  hours weekly with a varied schedule. Position ends October 30th. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have knowledge of personal safety practices.

Applicants must have the ability to assess situations and make good decisions. Minimum of 1 year experience, in the aforementioned responsibilities, good to superior references in that field, ability to read and write. A valid driver’s license, successful driver’s license background check and criminal background check are required.
