College Credits NOW 

Are you a high school junior or senior that would like to earn college credit? Thomas College provides an opportunity for YOU to take a course(s) on its campus in Waterville, ME. Begin earning credits toward a Bachelor Degree at Thomas College or you can transfer the credits earned at Thomas College to the college/university you pursue after you graduate from high school.

The course you enroll in is free to YOU. That’s right a typical college course worth three credits at Thomas College is about $650. The only cost to you is the cost of your book, transportation, and any materials that maybe needed for course.

How to Enroll

  • Complete the College Credits Now Application prior to start of semester
  • Provide an official copy of your high school transcript
  • A minimum grade point average of a 2.75 or 82.5
  • A parent or guardian signature

Program Policies

  • Limited to 100 or 200 level course
  • Open seats within the course
  • Access will be given to all services afforded to all part-time students
  • Signature is required on the Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy
  • Use of the Student Success Center, which includes tutoring is available for all College Credits Now enrollees

Dual Enrollment

Thomas College partners with Maine High Schools to offer a Thomas College course that is taught at the student’s high school. These courses are approved through the Academic Affairs Office at Thomas College and result in a student receiving up to three credits/course from Thomas College. There is no charge to take a dual enrollment course and are transferable to other colleges/universities.

Students are encouraged to speak with their guidance counselor or call the Office of Admissions at Thomas College about establishing a dual enrollment agreement should an agreement not exist. Recommendations for Enrolling

  • Typically a junior or senior in high school
  • Have a 2.75 (82.5) overall grade point average
  • Demonstrate a successful aptitude for college, receiving a recommendation by your guidance counselor or teacher of the class
  • Complete necessary preparatory coursework
