Procedures
How to
Apply
Interested
individuals should submit the following directly to the
Graduate Division:
-
Completed application for admission including a $50.00 application fee (Check or Money Order made
payable to Thomas College) or application fee waiver;
-
Official transcripts of all post-secondary education;

Proof of immunization (required by Maine state law) against measles/mumps/rubella (MMR) for students born after 1956 and against tetanus/diphtheria
(TD) for all students. The tetanus/diphtheria shot must have been
received within the last ten years.

Two (2) letters of recommendation;

Students
applying for a master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree and must
submit satisfactory GMAT scores for the Master of Business
Administration or Master of Business Administation in Human Resource
Management degree program. GRE or Miller Analogies Test scores may be
submitted for the Master of Science in Education or Master of Science in
Computer Technology in Education programs.
As an alternative to the GMAT, GRE, or Miller
Analogies Test, a student may be accepted conditionally and complete three
Thomas graduate courses with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better. Students
who hold a CPA, MBA, MSB or JD do not need to submit GMAT scores.
Thomas
College grants admission to qualified
candidates regardless of sex, race, creed, ethnic background, marital status,
or handicap.
Matriculation into a Masters
programs at Thomas College is contingent upon one of the following:

Applicant has successfully completed an advanced degree from
another accredited college or university.

Applicant holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or university and has completed the GMAT, GRE or Miller Analogies Test with a satisfactory
score (as determined by the College's
formula).

Applicant
holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or university and has completed three (3) Thomas College
graduate courses within a specific program with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better.

Applicant is enrolled in a five-year program at Thomas College and has
achieved a GPA of 3.0 (or higher) by the end of his/her third year of study.
Applicants enrolled in a five-year program who have not achieved a GPA of
3.0 or higher by the end of their third year of study must take the GMAT,
GRE, or Miller Analogies Test and receive a satisfactory score before they
may take any graduate level courses. Five-year students who fail to
achieve satisfactory scores, or whose cumulative GPA drops below 3.0 will be
dropped from the program.
