Thomas College Monthly Payment Plan

Any family wishing to pay annual costs in monthly payments may enroll in the monthly payment plan.  Ten monthly payments (five months per semester) begin August 10 and end May 1.  A non-refundable enrollment fee of $30 is added to the first payment.

Parents Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)

The eligible amount is equal to the cost of attendance minus financial aid.  The variable interest rate is changed every July 1.  Repayment begins 60 days after disbursement. For more information, go to the Direct Loan website.

Citizens Bank Student Loan for Parents

Citizens Bank Student Loan for Parents is available to parents who have a student attending an eligible institution. Parents will need to satisfy all credit requirements to be approved. Parents may borrow up to the student cots of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Sallie Mae Parent Loan

The Sallie Mae Parent Loan allows Parents and other creditworthy individuals to borrow on behalf of a student who is enrolled full time, half time, or less than half time.  Individuals may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any financial aid received.

College Ave Parent Loan

College Ave Student Loan for Parents is designed for parents with strong credit who want to borrow by themselves for their children’s education costs. Parents may borrow up to the student cots of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Maine Loan

The Maine Loan is available to credit-worthy Maine residents, 18 and older, attending approved schools in the United States and Canada, and to out of state students attending approved schools in Maine.  Students may borrow from $1000 up to the cost of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan

The Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan is available to undergraduate or graduate students. Students will typically need a cosigner and a credit check must be passed.  Students may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Discover Private Student Loan

A Discover Student Loan is available to a student enrolled at least half-time.  Students will typically need a cosigner.  A positive credit history, acceptable debt-to-income ratio, and minimum wage are required by the applicant or co-signer.  Student may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Wells Fargo Collegiate Loan

A Wells Fargo Collegiate Loan is available to a student enrolled at least half-time.  Students will typically need a cosigner and a credit check must be passed.  Student may borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any financial aid received.

Citizens Bank Student Loan

Citizens Bank Student Loan is available to students enrolled at least half-time.  Students are encourage to apply with a qualified co-signer to increase their chances of approval at the lowest interest rate possible.  Borrow up to the maximum qualified loan amount or the total cost of education, whichever is lower.

College Ave Undergraduate Student Loan

The College Ave Undergraduate Student Loan is available to undergraduate enrolled at least half-time. Loans are designed to give students great rates and multiple repayment options, so you can create a loan that fits your lifestyle.  Students will typically need a cosigner to apply. Students may borrower up to the cost of attendance less other financial aid.

Union Federal Private Student Loan

The Union Federal Private Student Loan is available to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at least half-time. International students may apply with a U.S. cosigner. Students will typically need a cosigner to apply. Students may borrower up to the cost of attendance less other financial aid.

The above listed alternative loan lenders are only options.  Thomas College accepts all alternative loans and encourages borrowers to do research on their own, as the borrower may be able to find lenders offering better benefits or interest rates.
