Antivirus Installation Instructions for Residents

Symantec's Norton Antivirus is available to all residents in Grant, Parks, Heath, Village, and Bartlett as part of your residential technology fee. This version of the software has been configured to update definitions every few days when you are connected to the residential network.

Once you leave campus, the definitions will no longer update.

1. IMPORTANT: Uninstall any other anti-virus software you already have installed. (including version 7.x for WinXP users - password: symantec)
2. Click here (file share method) to install Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 9.0 on your computer.
3. Steps 2 and 3 don't work because you don't have the Microsoft Installer program, click here then go back to step 1.
4. Within 15 minutes after you restart your computer, new definitions should load. Ignore the first "virus definitions out-of-date" message.
