If Symantec identifies spyware on your computer that is not removed automatically, use the following instructions to remove the infection:
Adware.Minibug
- Click Start, Run. Type command (without quotes) and click OK.
- In the command prompt window, type in exactly: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\AWS\WeatherBug\minibugtransporter.dll", and press enter. Click OK when the file has been un-registered.
- Next, in the command prompt window, type in exactly: del "C:\Program Files\AWS\WeatherBug\minibugtransporter.dll". and press enter.
- Next, type exit in the command prompt window and press enter.
Computers infected with a virus before Symantec was installed, or before the client downloaded current virus definitions, Symantec may not automatically clean the infection from your computer. If Symantec AntiVirus continuously indicates virus-infected files on your computer, or if a manual scan keeps indicating a virus-infected file on your computer, follow the links below to the Symantec page for removing the specific virus from your computer:
