Connected and Commuting
If you choose to live at home and commute to campus, there are lots of ways to stay connected to our close-knit community. Commuter students can always find a place to study, hang out with friends, or relax in “The Kennel,” our lounge located on the first floor of the Ayotte Academic Center. The Kennel has computers, a printer, places to study, a large flat-screen TV, a fridge and a microwave. Jeanie’s Café is in the same building, and it features Starbucks coffee and snacks in a spot that’s great for meeting friends and faculty members.
You’ll also make friends and get things done in the Student Commons, where you can grab a snack at the Dog Pound Café, play games or watch TV, and finish homework in study areas until 11 p.m. You can also fit in a workout in the Alfond Athletic Center—all commuters have full access to the gym. You also have the same access as resident students to academic support services, and all students are encouraged to get involved with campus activities and clubs, and athletics and recreation or intramurals.
