Thomas College is the first college to join 4ACause!
4ACause is an international project with the goal of doing a billion good deeds
in the next year.
Good deeds have the power to change hearts and minds for the
better and a billion good deeds will transform the world.
Here's how it works.
It's as simple as 1-2-3.
1. You have a numbered coin given to you by Thomas
College. Your first step is to go online to
www.4ACause.com and REGISTER. Then, enter the number of your coin. You will
be able to see where your coin has traveled and the good deeds associated with
your coin.
2. Then, either do a GOOD DEED yourself OR recognize someone else's
good deed. For example, if you help a neighbor with their groceries, or your
friend watches your children for you while you have a night out, you can
recognize the good deed with the 4ACause coin.
3. PASS IT ON and encourage the
new owner of the coin to do a good deed, or recognize a good deed, and ask them
to pass the coin on. On the 4ACause.com Web site, enter the information about
the good deed you did or witnessed. You will be able to track your coin as it
makes its way across the globe spreading good deeds as it travels!
"To be
doing good deeds is man's most glorious task."
~William Shakespeare
Why participate in 4ACause?
To do unto others, as you would have done unto you. The 4ACause coin is a tangible reminder for us to do good for others and
encourages others to do good as well.
To give back. 4ACause will contribute a
portion of the proceeds from each coin sold to the creation of sustainable
energy. Proceeds from each Thomas College coin sold and a percentage of all
coins sold to groups who join and create their own coin after hearing about it
through Thomas, will go directly to Thomas College.
To be a part of an
international phenomenon. Groups all over the world are getting involved with
4ACause, such as the State of Kentucky, Manchester United, FBLA-PBL . . .the
list goes on and more are joining every day!
To have a chance at being
featured on the TODAY show! Several programs, such as the TODAY show, Oprah and
Ellen are interested in the 4ACause project and are considering having regular
segments featuring highlights from the project.
To have a chance at getting a
free t-shirt! At the end of the year, Thomas College will give t-shirts to
the people who have passed along the coin that has traveled the most distance.
Thomas will also give t-shirts to the people who have passed along the coin that
has the largest number of good deeds associated with it.
