Thomas Features Nancy Fraser
as Artist of the Month
Thomas is featuring the work
of Nancy Fraser in its art gallery during the month of June.
Fraser began
studying art education at age 16 in her native Netherlands. She has lived,
worked and studied in the United States and Amsterdam. Fraser has served as a
secretary and photo editor for the Associated Press. In the U.S., she has
studied art education in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Maine. Fraser graduated
from the University of Maine where she studied oil painting, oil and pastel
portrait painting, art appreciation and history.
Traveling
extensively through Europe, Fraser has painted in Slovakia, Holland and Spain.
Her works are on display in Holland, Germany and England.
Fraser’s work will be on
display in the College’s art gallery in its administration building at 180 West
River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through
Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
