Thomas to Celebrate Commencement on May 13
Ceremony to begin at 1 p.m.

         WATERVILLE, Apr. 20—Thomas College’s 112th commencement will take place on Saturday, May 13 beginning at 1 p.m.

         A total of 147 students will be marching during the celebration and will include 122 undergraduates and 25 graduate-degree candidates.

         P. James Dowe Jr. will be the commencement speaker. He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Science in Business Administration degree during the ceremony. The Mainebiz 2003 Business Leader of the Year is the president and CEO of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network, the statewide public television and radio service.

         Walter Simcock, the former president of Colonial Distributors and a local philanthropist, will receive an honorary Doctor of Science in Business Administration degree during the ceremony.

         The ceremony will be held rain or shine on Thomas’ West River Road campus. Tickets are not required. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
