Thomas Features Elisabeth Borgerhoff Pomerleau as Artist of the Month

            Thomas is featuring the miniature oil paintings of Elisabeth Borgerhoff Pomerleau in its art gallery during the month of February.

            Borgerhoff, of Mount Vernon, began painting in 1980, and held her first exhibit in Georgetown, Maine in 1985. She is also a musician and has traveled extensively to play in places such as China and Europe.

            Borgerhoff currently performs with the Alan Shavarsh Bardezbanian Middle Eastern Ensemble, and teaches Slavic music and culture in area schools. She earned her bachelor’s from Yale University in Russian language and literature.

            Borgerhoff’s work is on display in the College’s art gallery in its administration building at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
