Thomas Features D. Crosby Brown as Artist of the Month
Thomas is featuring the African acrylic paintings of D. Crosby Brown in its art gallery during the month of March.
Brown’s work is influenced by his travels to Africa and the coast of Maine. Pictures on display in Thomas’s art gallery capture African animals in the jungle and elegant views from the coast of Maine.
Brown’s artwork has appeared in numerous exhibits in such areas as Canada, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Florida. His work has also been carried in several publications, including National Audubon, Sporting Classics and Down East Magazine.
Brown, a native of Milton Mass., currently works as an artist and a computer consultant. He attended Boise College in Idaho where he studied art, Northeastern University for engineering and other colleges.
Brown’s work is on display in the College’s art gallery in its administration building at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
