of Maine’s Economy
Next Business Breakfast Series Slated for December 14
Thomas College, in partnership with the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, will hold the next edition of its Business Breakfast Series on Thursday, December 14.
The presentation titled, “The State of Maine’s Economy: An Economic Outlook” will feature Charles Colgan, professor of public policy and management at the Muskie School at the University of Southern Maine.
Colgan has served with the Maine State Planning Office under governors James Longley, Joseph Brennan and John McKernan. In addition, some of the other state government positions he has held include state economist, director of natural resource and economic policy, and special assistant to the governor for international trade. He has also served as director of research for the Finance Authority of Maine. Colgan is currently chair of the Muskie School’s graduate program in community planning and development and the associate director of the USM Center for Business and Economic Research.
The presentation will be held in the Atrium at Thomas’ Student Center building on the Thomas campus located at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The public is invited to attend. The event begins at 7:30 a.m.
