Thomas Students Return from
National Conference in Denver
WATERVILLE, Nov. 14 — A half a dozen Thomas students recently returned from a national business conference in Denver, Colo.
The Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) conference, themed “Your ticket to the future,” provided the students with instruction on business ethics, increasing member recruitment, tips for saving money, managing retirement plans, and building a resume.
The students who attended were: Krista Gagne, of Arundel; Heather Foster, of Sabattus; Kara Cushman, of South Thomaston; Trista Morin, of North Monmouth; Mara Davis, of Wilton; and Ashley Berube, of Presque Isle. The students, aged 18 to 24, are studying a variety of subjects at Thomas including accounting, business, political science and entrepreneurship.
PBL is a national organization for business students who are working toward careers in business and business education. PBL is the college division of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
