Thomas College Inducts New Members into Alpha Chi Honor Society

WATERVILLE, November 8 - The Maine Delta Chapter of Alpha Chi inducted 15 new members on Wednesday evening in the Thomas College atrium.

The Alpha Chi Honor Society was installed at the College in 1977. The national honor society's main purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character in students enrolled in four-year programs. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of full-time students classified as juniors and the top 10 percent of full-time students classified as seniors. The minimum cumulative grade point average acceptable for juniors is 3.50 and for seniors is 3.20.

Students inducted on Wednesday were: Justin Lagasse '10 of Augusta, Amanda Cook '08 of Belgrade, Justine Ramsdell '09 of East Machias, Charley Bradford '09 of Guilford, Tim Hartin '09 of Island Falls, Joshua Turner '09 of Jackman, Chauncie Bellefleur '09 of Madison, Cory Daige '09 and Carrie Savoie '09 of Sanford, Alyssa Audie '08 and Amos Reid '08 of Skowhegan, Brittany Oxley '09 of Vassalboro, Amy Miles '09 of Waldo, Jason Cyr '07 of Waterville and Karrie Demers '09 of Brandon, Vt.
