He recorded 39 saves in a single game in 1976. Holmes was a two-year captain, named All-Conference in 1976 and 1977, and named to the All-District team in 1977.

Adams was a two-year captain of the men’s basketball team. Adams, of Lewiston, was also a member of the prestigious 1,000 career-points club and was 6th on the list with 1,521 total points scored. He played from 1990-94 and scooped up several accolades including being named to the All-WMAC in 1992-93, and the All-MAC in 1994. Adams was also selected for the Maine College All-State Team in 1993 and 1994. In addition to his scoring, Adams was 3rd on the all-time rebounding list for men’s basketball at Thomas.

Former men’s coach Jim Evans headed the soccer team from 1986-1993 and guided the Terriers to a 68-51-7 career record. Evans’ teams won three WMAC Championships and the NAIA Regional Championship in 1988. He was named WMAC Coach of the Year in 1988. Evans coached 14 NAIA All-Americans, three All-New England players, 19 All-WMAC players, 13 All-District players, nine All-State players and two Senior Bowl participants. In addition to soccer, Evans, who now lives in Simsbury, Conn., was the head men’s tennis coach from 1990-93. The team captured its first victory under his leadership in 1990.

The Thomas College Athletic Hall of Fame was created in 1994. There are currently 33 members including the recent inductions. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor former students, teams and coaches who have made significant marks in athletic achievement and others, who by reason of their association with Thomas, have distinguished themselves as coaches or as leaders in amateur or professional sports.
