Eisa Thibeau is the August Artist of the Month

WATERVILLE, August 14 --Thomas College is featuring the original colored pencil and watercolor artistry of Eisa Thibeau in its art gallery during the month of August.

Thibeau, of Oakland, works with oil, pen, ink, watercolors and colored pencils. She enjoys drawing flowers, birds, butterflies, fruits and miniature landscapes. She also creates greeting cards and bookmarks.

The artist has a master's degree from the University of Maine, a bachelor's from the University of Connecticut in Storrs and also attended the City College of New York. Though Thibeau is retired from the Messalonskee school district where she taught elementary education, she continues to substitute teach there.

Thibeau's work is on display in the College's art gallery in its administration building at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
