Juanita Stevens Longwell as
Artist of the Month
Next Business Breakfast Slated for Thursday, March 8

WATERVILLE, Mar. 9—Thomas is featuring the original paintings of Juanita Stevens Longwell in its art gallery during the month of March.

Longwell, of West Gardiner, paints a variety of pastel landscapes and portraitures, but is most noted for her renditions of Katahdin Lake in Baxter State Park. She has painted internationally, working in Greece, Turkey, the mountains of Ecuador and the Amazon jungle.

Longwell is a graduate of Worcester State College, and she received her professional art training at the Worcester Art Museum School.

Longwell’s work is on display in the College’s administration building at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
