Musician Dominic Gaudious Performance Canceled

WATERVILLE, Apr. 10—Musician Dominic Gaudious has canceled his performance at Thomas College on April 11 due to illness. Thomas will reschedule the performance at a later date.
Gaudious’ appealing sounds have captivated his audiences all over the world with a combination of classical to world-beat music, using mainly six and 12-string guitars and the exotic Australian Didgeroo. As a composer and guitarist, Gaudious has performed for the Australian Embassy, Montreaux Music Festival and the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.
He began his music career in an eclectic rock band in the 1980s. Gaudious later opened as a solo performer for Pat Benatar, Kip Winger and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Gaudious, of Winter Garden, Fla., performs through-out the country in numerous venues, including college campuses, resorts, grand openings, festivals, benefit concerts and private parties. He has released six CDs. His music has played on more than 140 public radio stations. His latest CD, “Life worth Living,” was released in October 2006.
The musician’s work has received high reviews. “A master musician,” according to the SENA Foundation. Songwriter’s Monthly Magazine says: “The guitar has never sounded so good! Flawless talent streams by in emotional splurges . . . you hear things on the guitar that you have never before thought were possible.”
Gaudious has been a finalist on FOX News’ “30 Seconds to Fame,” and a finalist and Honor Award winner in the Great American Song Contest for his song “Far East Fusion.” He has been nominated as Best Instrumental Artist 2004, Best Performing Artist 2005 by campus awards.com and nominated as National Radio Recording Artist of the Year.
The event is free for Thomas students, faculty and staff. The cost for members of the public is $2.
