Thomas College Student Athletes Awarded NAC Honors

Smith and Ross Named Players of the Week for Softball and Men's Lacrosse

WATERVILLE, April 28 - Two Thomas student athletes were recognized this week by the North Atlantic Conference. Nicole Smith '08 of Bucksport was named Softball Player of the Week and Mike Ross '08 of York was named Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Smith had a perfect 6-0 record last week helping keep the Terriers unbeaten in the NAC. She pitched 43 innings, striking out 41, walking only 4 batters, and lowering her ERA to 1.14.

Ross scored 16 goals to guide the Terriers to a perfect 3-0 last week. Ross also contributed with 3 assists and 17 ground balls and controlled 23 out of the 30 face-offs.
