Thomas College Features Pat Byther as Artist of the Month
WATERVILLE, Feb. 26 - Thomas College is featuring the original art work of Pat Byther in its art gallery during the month of March.
The exhibit to be on display includes recycled and reused objects, which has earned her the nickname of the "green artist".
Byther has displayed her work at the Defying Gravity Gallery in Skowhegan and participates in summer arts shows. She shares her
talents volunteering as an art teacher at Temple Academy in Waterville and teaching classes at a local stamping store.
She hopes to educate people with the idea that art comes in many styles and forms and that beauty is bountiful and
all around us. Byther and her husband Jim live in Winslow and they have one daughter.
Byther's work is on display in the College's art gallery in its administration building at
180 West River Road in Waterville. The gallery is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
