"The friendships I've made at Thomas have been nothing short of amazing; in such an intimate, tight-knit community, you get to know other students quite well. These are the relationships that will last long after I graduate, some for a lifetime. I’m also really excited to think about ten years down the road and see what we’ve become, reflecting back on how our Thomas experience helped to shape and guide us."

Waterville, Maine---January, 2002--Officials at Thomas College and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce have announced a partnership to present the annual business breakfast series and welcome high profile speakers to Central Maine. The yearlong series will bring speakers from a variety of fields to the Waterville campus of Thomas College.

The first speaker in the yearlong series will be Dana Connors, President of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.  He will speak at Thomas College on Thursday, February 28 at 8 a.m. in the Atrium of the Student Center.  Both member and non-member rates are available for the series. Doors for breakfast series events will open at 7:30 a.m. with speakers commencing their hour-long presentation at 8 a.m.

Dates for other upcoming business breakfast series events are March 14, April 11 featuring Maine State Economist Laurie LaChance, June 13, September 12, and November 14 featuring Marketing specialist Brenda Garrand. Speakers for the March 14, June 13, and September 12 events will be announced.

Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kimberly Lindlof expects a good turnout for the series. "We feel that our membership at the Chamber will benefit from this partnership with Thomas College due to the extensive experience the college has in presenting speaker series," Lindlof noted. The site at Thomas College also offers a wide range of technological capabilities unavailable at other locations. Lindlof also announced that during the year Thomas College and the chamber will present joint events featuring speakers in addition to those appearing as part of the breakfast series.
