Thomas College
STUDENT LIFE AND ACTIVITIES

Student Life at Thomas College is dedicated to the education and
development of the diverse student body and to creating a
meaningful, learning centered campus life for students at the
College. Student
Life works in active partnership with student,
faculty, and staff colleagues to foster and support student
opportunities for learning, involvement, leadership, community
building, and creative expression that compliment classroom
experiences. Student Life further supports student organizations
and their leaders, and they in turn provide programs and
resources to the student body and the wider college community.
The Student Orientation and Orientation Leader program is
designed to enrich student life, assist with the transition to
Thomas College, prepare students for academic excellence,
provide campus entertainment and prepare students to be leaders
in their communities. The program includes Orientation
Leader selection and training, Orientation weekend planning and
events, and co-coordination of Welcome Week.
The Office of Student Life also provides students with numerous
ways to get involved on campus. An average of 25 student
organizations are registered
every year as well as an active intramural athletic program. The
activities and opportunities for involvement enhance your
college career, build
your leadership skills, and provide
avenues to make lots of new friends by joining or supporting one
of our many student groups. The types of groups to select from include academic, ethnic, Greek, service, recreation, religious,
political/governmental, honorary, environmental, and
social/support. Students can learn more about activities
and involvement opportunities during the fall club and
organization fair.
