"The friendships I've made at Thomas have been nothing short of amazing; in such an intimate, tight-knit community, you get to know other students quite well. These are the relationships that will last long after I graduate, some for a lifetime. I’m also really excited to think about ten years down the road and see what we’ve become, reflecting back on how our Thomas experience helped to shape and guide us."

Campus Involvement

How to Get Involved

Thomas College offers a diverse range of activities, student organizations and clubs to get involved in. The key to getting involved is asking questions and being willing to step out of your comfort zone. Here are some tips when you start to get involved:

Get involved with the things that interest you.

Start slowly and add more activities only if you have time.

Maintain a high commitment to academics!

Talk to others and find out what they are involved in. Start with your residence hall, academic department and/or Student Life Office for ideas.

Take the initiative when getting involved.

Keep in mind the more challenged you are, the more you learn.

Know that the contacts you make now may help you in the future.

Stay positive and helpful when entering a new student organization.

The Value of Involvement

Participating in campus activities is an important part of college life at Thomas College. The activities and events planned by the various clubs and organizations supplement your academic life with valuable experience, fun and friendship. Out-of-classroom programs provide opportunities for vocational growth, leadership training, community service and personal development. The people who get involved in student activities are people like you, so GET INVOLVED! Campus leaders aren’t born, nor are they members of some exclusive club.  You have the power to be a student leader. The necessary skills are developed through experience, role modeling and training.
