9:00 -11:00am Resident Registration & Move-In Student Center
     
11:30am - 12:00pm Commuter Registration Student Center
 

*All new students need to sign up for a Computer Configuration & Orientation Session, receive their registration packet of information, register their vehicle with Public Safety, get their Student ID photo taken, and meet with a Student Financial Services Representative.

     
11:00am - 12:45pm BBQ Lunch for Students & Families Dining Center
  *All new students and their guests are invited to join us for a BBQ lunch (free of charge).

 

     
1:00pm President's Official Welcome Mahaney Gym
  *Meet Dr. George Spann, President of Thomas College.  
     
1:15pm Student Gathering:  Playfair Athletic Center
  *New students will participate in this high energy interactive session of Playfair and have a chance to meet other new students in their class.

3:15pm Family Farewell Athletic Center
  *Students and families gather for a brief ceremony before families and friends depart campus.

     
3:30pm Life in the Residence Halls Auditorium
  *Orlina Botiva, Assistant Director of Residential Life & Housing and Chris Rhoda, Vice President for Information Services (computers) and our student leaders will share valuable information about adjusting to life in the residence halls at Thomas and will answer your questions.

     
  Making the Most of College While Commuting Atrium
  *Join Hannah Gladstone, Director of Student Life for an opportunity to talk with current commuter students about campus resources and adjusting to college as a commuter! Learn about special programs offered, how to get involved, and take a tour to find the Commuter Lounge. The Director of Student Life and Chris Rhoda, Vice President for Information Services (computers) will be on hand to share information and answer questions.

Session A:  Computer Configuration & Orientation for Recommended Dell Computers             Rooms Library, 126 and 225

 

  *Students who signed up during Registration will need to attend. Bring your computer (laptop or PC tower) and your Thomas College username and password. All new students must attend one of these sessions!   
     
5:00pm Dinner with Orientation Groups Dining Center
  *Don't forget to meet with your Orientation Group for dinner. Sign up for Sunday and Mondays workshops and outings.  
     
6:30pm Ed Gerety- Motivational Speaker Auditorium
 

 

 

*Ed Gerety is one of the top professional speakers and leadership trainers in the US.  Through his personal experiences, humor and insights Ed teaches the principles and skills that are essential to the development of leaders.  Ed is the author of Combinations:  Opening the Door to Student Leadership and a contributing author of four books on leadership and personal development.  The National Speakers Association awarded Ed their highest earned designation, Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), an honor held by less than 10% of speakers who belong to the International Federation of Professional Speakers. 

7:45pm Community Meetings with Resident Assistants Residence Halls
  *Meet with your RA and floor residents to discuss expectations, staying safe, and living in your new community.  

 

     
8:30 -10:30pm Bowling Night Sparetime Recreation
  *All new students are invited to meet and join all the other new students and Orientation Leaders for a night of bowling in the air conditioned and relaxed atmosphere at Sparetime Recreation - just across the street from the campus.

  *Commuters and residents - need a place to relax before dinner and meet fellow students? Relax in the lounge, check your email, or watch TV.

  *Learn what the City has to offer, visit local favorites, get a sense of your new surroundings! Mini-bus leaves from the flag pole at 1:30 p.m. Tour last about one hour.

Steve has been seen in numerous commercials, performances in Las Vegas shows, colleges nationwide and in the recent independent film, "Tough Hombre."  He worked on "The Late Show" with David Letterman and with SNL veterans Victoria Jackson and Colin Quinn.  A Maine native, he looks forward to his second appearance at Thomas.
