Dr. Stephen J. Turner

Professor Turner received his doctoral degree from the School of Engineering
at the University of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science
degree in theoretical mathematics from the University of Maine. He
has been using Excel spreadsheets intensively in his college
teaching for over 20 years. He has published over 16 articles in
refereed scholarly journals and presented over 30 papers at national
or international conferences. Turner is also an active consultant in
the area of statistics. He is co-author of Statistical Analysis
for Business Decisions (Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, 1983),
Fishing for Data Using the Net, (McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.
1996), “Excel Spreadsheet Models as a Pathway for Learning
Introductory Business Mathematics” (Thomas College, 2003), and
author of “Statistical Inference and Decision Making: A Software
Intensive Approach” (Thomas College, 2003).
