Thomas College offers some of the most inspiring settings in central Maine for any event you may be planning. Our large and dynamic campus hosts state-of-the-art classrooms, business meeting spaces, a 300-seat auditorium, a library, and function rooms.
We also have athletic fields that can be rented for your next practice or game. From high school athletics to community teams, we can accommodate a wide variety of sports.
Our Event Spaces Available for Rental
Ayotte Auditorium
Capacity: 301
One of the most often used facilities on campus, the Ayotte Auditorium features theatre-style seating, a state of the art sound system, and a complete projector and screen setup. The raised stage provides excellent views from any seat in the room. The combination of seating capacity and modern audio/visual equipment makes the auditorium perfect for speeches, presentations, plays, and any other live show.
Harold Alfond Athletic Center
Capacity: Varies based on event set-up.
The centerpiece of the Thomas Campus, the Harold Alfond Athletic Center spans over 36,000 square-feet and houses the Fitness Center, Atkins Multi-Purpose Room, Plyometric Room, and three regulation multi-purpose courts. The vast size of the Alfond’s courts make it an ideal location for professional gatherings including career fairs and recognition ceremonies, as well as any number of athletic events.
Berry Dunn Student Senate Meeting Room
Capacity: 24
Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights, the BerryDunn Student Senate Room offers an inviting space for meetings with a beautiful view of the Thomas Campus. The room includes a conference table, chairs, and cabinets and counters for temporary storage. Located in the Spann Commons, the room is only a few feet from our dining center.
Finance Lab
Capacity: 48
A high-tech classroom with six TVs, a projector, and a total of 24 dual-monitor computers, the Finance Lab makes an excellent workspace for people and groups working on diverse multi-media projects. A digital stock ticker presents worldwide financial data in real-time while the lab’s whiteboards and projectors support collaborative work.
Board Room
Capacity: 22-30
The Thomas College Board Room offers another great setting for meetings, presentations, and small gatherings. Its professional atmosphere features a square table formation with 22 seats and additional seating around the side of the room. The room comes equipped with a projector and microphone hook-ups for easy switching between open discussions and multimedia presentations.
Summit Room
Capacity: Depends on Event Set-Up
Surrounded by windows on two sides, the Summit Room comes equipped with a podium, microphone ports, projector, and projector screen, making it a welcoming option for a wide variety of events including formal dinners, conferences, multimedia presentations, and more. The Summit Room also serves as a perfect central hub for events across campus.

Our Athletic Facilities Available for Rental
Bernatchez (Red) and Smith (Black) Turf Fields
The new turf fields are adjacent to each other in the complex, and the primary tenants are men and women’s soccer, men and women’s lacrosse, and field hockey squads. The fields are known on campus as the “black” and “red” fields, for the color of the 12-foot border surrounding each field.
Alumni Field (Grass Soccer Field)
The Alumni field serves as an alternative grass practice field for men and women’s soccer as well as men and women’s lacrosse. This is a grass playing field with in ground irrigation system. A scoreboard is located on bench area.
H. Allen Ryan Field (Baseball Field)
H. Allen Ryan Field is the playing and practice facility for the baseball program, which consists of a grass infield and outfield with an in-ground irrigation system. It meets NCAA standards with team dugouts and permanent fencing. The scoreboard is located in left field. And three batting cages and one bullpen are located off of the left field.
Softball Field
The softball field is the playing and practice facility for the softball program, which is a skinned infield and grass outfield. It meets NCAA standards for playing specifications with team dugouts and permanent fencing. A bullpen is located off each dugout, along with press box and concession area.
Larry Mahaney Gymnasium
The playing and practice facility for men’s and women’s basketball. This is a finished wood floor surface with six sections of bleachers surrounding the court when opened extended 20 feet onto the floor. Scoreboards are located on east and west walls of the gymnasium. This gymnasium is also available for the use of volleyball.
Harold Alfond Athletic Center
The Harold Alfond Athletic Center is the centerpiece of the Thomas College campus and has a large presence when entering the campus. This athletic complex was designed with the intention of functioning as a recreation center for the student population and a state of the art indoor training facility for Thomas College’s athletic teams. There are three regulation tennis courts, which is a Mondo rubberized composite floor.
