Thomas College’s President’s Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is excited to be hosting a Diversity Week for its community.
Diversity Week is a time designated for the Thomas College community to learn, to share, and to celebrate. It is an opportunity for us to engage deeply in the topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Schedule
Tuesday, February 22
- 12:15- 1 p.m. Lunch and Learn: Diversity in Leadership presented by the Black Student Union and International Club
- 4:45-7 p.m. International Dinner sponsored by the Student Senate
Wednesday, February 23
- 12:15-1 p.m. Lunch and Learn: Neurodiversity presented by Active Minds
- Evening screening of “Truth Tellers”, a critically acclaimed documentary hosted by artist Robert Shetterly (www.kanelewis.com/truthtellers), cosponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and TRIO. TRIO SSS is 100% funded by the U.S Department of Education ($259,491 annually). This screening will include a reception and community discussion.
- 6:30 p.m. – Meet & Greet
- 7 p.m. – Movie Start
- 8 p.m. – Discussion Start
Thursday, February 24
- 12:15-1 p.m.: Lunch and Learn: Power The Language presented by Pride Club and EAST
- 8 p.m. – International BINGO Night sponsored by Campus Activities Board (CAB)
Friday, February 25
- 12:15-1 p.m. Lunch and Learn: Finding Faith presented by the Men’s and Women’s Bible Study
- All-Day Scavenger Hunt Competition with prizes sponsored by the Student Philanthropy Team
Saturday, February 26
- National TRIO Day
