Congratulations New Terriers! At this stage of the process, we understand that you and your family have questions. This page has answers to many of your questions and provides links to continue to explore Thomas College.
When will I find out about scholarships or financial aid?
Many students will learn about their scholarship award when they receive their acceptance letter. If applying for financial aid, please submit the FAFSA. Once the FAFSA is received, admitted students will receive a financial aid award letter in approximately one to two weeks.
How do I receive credit for my Dual Enrollment class(es)?
Dual enrollment with Thomas College is a great way to earn college credit while still in high school. If you attended Thomas College for dual enrollment, we already have your transcript. If you have taken other dual enrollment course(s) from other colleges / universities, please request an official transcript from the institution and have it sent to Thomas College Registrar, 180 West River Rd. Waterville, ME 04901
When is the deadline for accepting my offer of admissions
Submitting an enrollment deposit will accept your offer of admission and reserve a space in the class. Thomas would like to have your enrollment deposit ($300.00 residential, $200.00 commuter) by May 1.
Do I need to send a final transcript?
Yes, after graduating from high school or completing your semester at college, your final transcript should be submitted to the admissions office.
What are the residence halls like and how do I choose one?
First-year students live in either Hinman Hall (our newest residence hall) or in Grant, Parks and Heath (GPH). Hinman offers “pods” of 27 students each. The rooms are a mix of single and double rooms with shared bathrooms and common lounge area. GPH is three separate residence halls that meet in the middle with a shared common area. Most are double rooms with community bathrooms.

If I live on campus, can I bring my car?
Yes. All vehicles must be registered with Public Safety. The best part, parking stickers are only $5 per year!
What computers and devices are recommended for new students?
We strongly recommend that all students purchase their own personal computer. We offer discounts to Thomas students for personal computers. Information will be mailed to you in April or May once device(s) are selected. The latest details may be found at https://www.thomas.edu/devices-and-computers/
For the past several years the College has built and maintained a leading-edge network to support the variety of devices used by our students, faculty, and staff. This involves 10G-rated fiber optic cabling, high-density campus-wide 802.11n Wi-Fi, high-speed Internet and Internet2 connections, and web-based apps optimized for mobile devices.
Many faculty class materials are online, and some courses are being delivered entirely over the Internet. We use Moodle as our learning management system for online, blended, and traditional courses. We also have over 140 desktops available to students in several labs and clusters as well as dozens of sign-out notebooks and tablets available from our Library.

Where can I work out on campus
Harold Alfond Athletic Center is open from early, early morning until late night for you to hit the weights, work on cardio, shoot around with friends or attend one of our fitness classes. Also, if you like the outdoors, sign out a bike and trek through our campus trails or go for a run.
What’s the food like on campus?
We hear from current students all the time that the food is very good! Of course, if you have not already, visit the campus and experience our dining hall first-hand. Our all you can eat dining hall has a variety of stations at every meal. The variety of food will also accommodate any special dietary needs. For more information, please contact Jody Pelotte. Our dinning center menu can be found online.
